    I don't know why the committee would want to push this change a year back, except to allow for a minor transition period that isn't strictly enforced. But the point given about seniors preparing for college and switching now is valid, and I think we're seeing that exact thing happening in alot of places. Once I switched to channeling instead of using U or V shooters when the committee first enacted the rule change a few years back, I improved in many respects and I think the same is true for many players. Hopefully the universal head rule will move down into the high school level and below, but thats at least a few years away.
